NY Athletics Club - Part Time Guest Services Agent

The prestigious New York Athletic Club is seeking a part-time Guest Service Agent.  In this role the qualified candidate will be responsible for the accurate check-in and check-out of our Members and Guests.  Greet and receive Members and Guests in a friendly manner.  Handle all requests and present information in accordance with the policies and procedures set forth by the Club and specific guidelines of the Front Office department.

- Greets, registers and assigns rooms to Members/Guests.

 - Issues room keys and escort instructions to Bell person or directly to Member/Guest as appropriate.

 - Answers questions pertaining to Club facilities, Club dress code, policies/procedures relating to Members/Guests while staying at the Club. Provide information and directions for area shopping, NYC areas of interest, dining, theater etc.

 - Make, confirm and cancel reservations for Members/Guests.

 - Keep accurate records of room availability and Member accounts.

 - Ensure that all proper amenities and or special Member requests are in the room on their arrival.

 - Respond to all calls/inquiries made by Members/Guests during their stay at the Club.

 - Handle other assignments as requested by the Manager and/or Supervisor of the Front Office.

 - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

 - Second language to English is a plus.

 - Experience as a Guest Service agent in a Club or Hotel required.

 - Excellent customer service skills is a must.

 - Must be able to work weekends as well as one day during the week.

 - Computer knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, Opera, Fidelio a plus.
