Reception Services at Creative Writing Non-Profit

Writopia Lab, an award-winning non-profit that runs the country's best creative writing workshops for kids ages 6-18, is looking for a detail-oriented administrative assistant who loves kids, reading, and writing, and who takes initiative, follows up until projects are complete, and is fun to work with. Responsibilities:
- greeting students and parents
- making sure students enter their correct workshop
- maintaining our database (nothing too fancy)
- corresponding with our community in person and by phone
- assisting with special projects and miscellaneous office tasks

Requirements:
- positive personality and immense sensitivity to the needs of students and parents
- comfortable making phone calls
- able to create a warm and welcoming environment
- must respect student privacy and treat family information as confidential
- flexible, resourceful, and easy-going--able to keep your cool in a high-paced, high-stakes environment while maintaining excellent customer care.

Schedule
This position will have a 30ish-hour work week, scheduled on Thursdays through Mondays. Your days off will be Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
