We are an online art information and advisory platform that specializes in original curated content for art professionals and collectors. We work with some of the top galleries, art fairs, auction houses and art organizations in NY and around the world and we are looking for a NYC-based candidate to work as an assistant to one of the founders of the company. Here is a broad outline of requirements for the position.

• This is a NYC-based position for a candidate with at least an undergraduate degree in Art History with a focus on Modern and Post-War/Contemporary Art. Knowledge of Art Business is a huge plus.

• Practical experience in the contemporary art world including knowledge and understanding of the various components of the art market like the art fairs, art galleries, auctions, private dealers etc.

• Proficiency in Photoshop, MS Office, Word Press, and all of the social media platforms.

• Multitasking skills, dependability, punctuality and well-developed attention to detail are all very important.

• You will also need to have strong research skills and ability to analyze a wide variety of art historical and art market data.

• This position may require you to write short art-related posts, so strong creative writing skills are also very important.

• You will be required to be in constant contact with the galleries, auction house staff and other art trade professionals, so excellent social and phone skills are a must.

• We want to work with bright, happy people who are easy to work with and can work well and productive independently.

• We need someone to start at around 20 hours a week, possibly more.
