The American Institute of Architects, New York Chapter is seeking a part-time Member Services Assistant.
Founded
in 1857, the AIA New York Chapter is the oldest and largest chapter of
the American Institute of Architects with over 4800 members who are
practicing architects, allied professionals, students, and public
members interested in architecture and design.
Duties include:
-Oversee membership application request fulfillment
-Process member applications
-Create and mail Member Welcome packets
-Weekly update/check of online directory of architecture firms and professional services firms
-Support for preparation of paper directory
-Support for preparation of membership materials for monthly board meetings
-Communications via email and telephone with prospective members
-Return mail processing
-List import support
-Event support for ARE Exam prep classes
Qualifications:
-Interest and knowledge of architecture helpful
-Familiarity with Microsoft Office; experience with Filemaker a plus
-Meticulous attention to detail and patience for cyclically repeating tasks
-Helpful demeanor; customer or member service experience a plus
*Some weekend hours required
