This part-time position is responsible for reviewing written fundraising materials and grant proposals for The Field’s Sponsored Artist Program. The Associate, although self-directed, works closely with the Artist Services Manager, coordinating grant submission deadlines with artists and developing clear feedback communication strategies to enhance Sponsored Artists’ ability to produce clearly articulated, professional proposal and fund materials. The Associate may also be tasked with preparing fundraising materials for artists and advising artists on fundraising strategies and grant calendars.

COMPENSATION
This is an hourly position. Rate of pay is $19 to $23 per hour, depending on experience. There are no benefits offered.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for reviewing grants proposals to foundation and corporate sources, and preparing feedback for artists.
- Reviewing grant reports and ensuring that all sponsored artists comply with grant reporting as required by foundation/corporate donors.
- Reviewing written fundraising materials and providing effective feedback to artists.
- Assisting with other materials review as requested.
- Performing artist consultations as needed.
- Strong written communication skills; ability to provide feedback in a clear, structured way.
- Strong editing skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of fundraising information sources.
- Experience with proposal writing and institutional donors.
- Knowledge of basic fundraising techniques and strategies.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, collaborative approach to working one-on-one.
- Self-motivated and self-reliant to work effectively in a virtual environment.
- Ability to collaborate in a virtual team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
- Must be able to maintain client confidentiality.
