We have an immediate opening for a Stock Associate at our New York Flagship store located at 550 Madison Avenue.  As a Stock Associate, you will be responsible for the timely flow of merchandise from the stockroom to the sales floor, making sure products are received, processed, and displayed per company merchandising guidelines. 
 
The Stock Associate must be focused on loss prevention to protect company assets by managing all incoming shipments.  Daily shipments must be scheduled and planned according to the store's needs.  Stock room deliveries should be made and processed through back office receiving and must be within company guidelines.  The Stock Associate is also responsible for the organization and cleanliness of the stock room.  Participation in all inventories is required.  This individual must continually improve their product knowledge through Sony's on-line training program and act as a Sales Associate on the sales floor when necessary.  Additional duties may be required upon request from management.

Job Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or the equivalent
• A minimum of one year of previous retail experience plus a minimum of one year of retail stock room experience is required
• Must be versatile and possess strong organizational skills as well as the ability to multi-task 
• Consumer electronics retail experience is preferred
• Must be a results-driven, team player with a positive attitude
• Excellent communication/listening skills with the motivation necessary to meet customer needs required
• Must be able to stand/walk for extended period of times, climb a ladder (up to 20 feet), and lift 50 pounds, all with or without reasonable accommodation
• The ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends is a must
