Job Description
The Retail Sales Associate assists and learns skills from the store Manager and Asst Manager in the various tasks necessary to successfully manage a store: customer satisfaction, sales generation, merchandising, and operations.
The Sales Associate ensures that the store maintains excellent visual and personal presentation for our customers at all times and maintains/expands their personal customer book and seek to maximize our store volume while maintaining a keen eye on all store and Company goals, policies, procedures, etc. He/she she will always provide excellent customer service and is fully knowledgeable about Polarn O. Pyret's special culture, clothing and features and will continuously suggest ideas to maintain and increase the brand's appeal to the local market.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be polished and professional
- At least 1 to 2 years of previous apparel specialty store retail sales experience. Experience in children's apparel would be a plus!
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Maintain high level of initiative, motivation and self-direction.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - both with co-workers and customers.
- Ability to handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy
Essential Physical Requirements
Ability to Perform open / close out procedures, process information/merchandise through computer system and POS register system. Ability to learn to manage tasks in all parts of the operation including the selling floor, stock areas and the register areas. These tasks will include cheerfully helping our customers learn about PO.P and the solutions that we offer to allow their kids to happily wear our clothing 24 hours per day!.. Sales Associates maintain the general appearance of stores through light housekeeping duties, sizing, stocking, organization of back stock with ability to handle merchandise weighing between 1-30 pounds throughout the store. Ability to be a self-initiator in the contribution to any and all tasks and projects needed to keep the store running smoothly. Availability for a flexible schedule working days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Must adhere to the Polarn O. Pyret dress code for employees

This part-time position is responsible for reviewing written fundraising materials and grant proposals for The Field’s Sponsored Artist Program. The Associate, although self-directed, works closely with the Artist Services Manager, coordinating grant submission deadlines with artists and developing clear feedback communication strategies to enhance Sponsored Artists’ ability to produce clearly articulated, professional proposal and fund materials. The Associate may also be tasked with preparing fundraising materials for artists and advising artists on fundraising strategies and grant calendars.

COMPENSATION

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for reviewing grants proposals to foundation and corporate sources, and preparing feedback for artists.
- Reviewing grant reports and ensuring that all sponsored artists comply with grant reporting as required by foundation/corporate donors.

- Assisting with other materials review as requested.
- Performing artist consultations as needed.
- Strong written communication skills; ability to provide feedback in a clear, structured way.
- Strong editing skills.

- Experience with proposal writing and institutional donors.
- Knowledge of basic fundraising techniques and strategies.
