The Museum of Arts and Design Store on Columbus Circle is
currently accepting resumes for part-time sales associates to join its dedicated and close-knit team. The Store at MAD is known for its inspired presentation of jewelry, design objects, home and fashion accessories, and upscale gifts – and most importantly its superior customer service. The Store is dedicated to presenting products that embody the celebration of soulful workmanship and natural materials, creating a bridge between the artist/maker and the customer.
The overall responsibility of the Store Sales Associate is to provide excellent customer service to museum guests and ensure that their positive store experience inspires them to make a purchase to memorialize their visit. All applicants should have some retail experience, be attentive to detail, and be able to work some weekend days and evenings. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Working with customers in a friendly and professional manner.

Selling a wide range of merchandise, including glass, ceramics, jewelry, and home and fashion accessories.

Providing knowledge of store product and museum exhibitions to better serve the customer.

Processing store sales on the POS system

Assisting with stock/inventory
