Job Description:

The cafe attendant is responsible for providing customer service at Sports Center Cafe during the shift.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

*Assist customers at gourmet take out counter.
*Ring up items on cash register, handle money.
*Maintain cleanliness of cafe area, including counter.
*Maintain quality levels of food and beverage as well as service standards.

Candidates must be able to work PM shifts and Saturdays and Sundays.

*Prior experience in a cafe, gourmet take out counter, coffee bar or sandwich shop is required.
*Knowledge of health foods is preferred.
*Ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings and weekends is required.
*Ability to deal with internal and external customers, come who may require extreme levels of patience, tact and diplomacy is required.

*NYC Food Handlers Certification is strongly preferred.
