SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
The Ford Foundation’s Office of Communications seeks a part-time Freelance Editor/Shooter to document events, assist in the creation of original video content, and manage our media archive. The position reports to the Multimedia Producer and will work on average three days per week. Some evenings required, but schedule is otherwise somewhat flexible.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• At least 3 years editorial experience, preferably with a documentary focus
• Strong production knowledge; must be able to light, shoot, and take sound
• Must be comfortable working with high-level individuals—CEOs, government officials, public figures
• Excellent organizational and media management skills
• Familiarity with latest trends and developments in video
• Must be flexible, self-sufficient, calm under pressure, dependable; extra points for a good sense of humor
• Final Cut Pro, Sony HDR AX-2000
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Interest in social justice issues
• Experience directing or producing
• After Effects, ProTools, Photoshop, DSLR proficiency
RATE: $350.00 per day
