About you:You are interested in art, culture, and aesthetics. You may be interested in design and fashion. You have strong administrative skills, are naturally well-organized, and are excited by the challenges of a career in contemporary art. You must be a master of Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. Fluency in a second language is strongly preferred. You think about culture, music, art, art theory, history, and media constantly. You understand the business of art & wish to be a part of it. You have a bachelor's degree in Art History, Visual Culture, or other pertinent field. You have working experience in any administrative function that requires fast-paced customer service skills – like working in retail, hospitality, or a high-level internship at another gallery or museum. You understand that the core responsibilities of this job must be attended to, and want to execute them above and beyond and with sincerity, curiosity, and dedication. You are able to work Wednesday through Saturday 10-6 p.m.

The Suzanne Geiss Company, established in 2011, is a gallery situated on Grand Street in SoHo.
The Company's focus is the comprehensive support of artists and their wide-ranging, ambitious visions. Motivated by a commitment to innovative art across disciplines, the program encompasses historical exhibitions, shows by established and emerging artists, as well as a range of site-specific artist projects.
Suzanne Geiss has worked in the contemporary art field for 16 years. From 1997 through 2010, she served as Executive Director of Deitch Projects, where she represented the Estate of Keith Haring, organized the first retrospective of Stephen Sprouse's work, managed artists such as Vanessa Beecroft and Kristin Baker, and produced vanguard performances by artists such as Fischerspooner and Terence Koh. Books published under her guidance include the definitive Keith Haring monograph published by Rizzoli Vanessa Beecroft: Performances 1993-2003. Exhibitions in 2012 include: Rammellzzee, Kristin Baker, Ryan Johnson, Chris Johanson, and Antonio Lopez.
