  • Positively and proactively help solve problems for our customers and can balance multiple customers in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Deliver results in their role to contribute to their stores success. Are aware of and accountable to store and individual goals and results.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment by consistently treating all Gap Brand employees and customers with respect.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of integrity and enforce/uphold all company policies (ie. LP, Customer, Employee) and communicates violations to the leadership team or the Code of Business Conduct Hotline.
  • Completes floor replenishment and shipment as needed to ensure customer satisfaction and size availability.
  • Maintains store standards per Visual Presentation Assessment direction to enhance customer shopping experience.

Rockefeller Center Open Positions:

Sales Associate:
Responsible for generating sales by engaging and connecting with each customer to provide the right service for each customer. Utilizes product knowledge to educate and inform customer and to build sales. Will flex and contribute to any Work Center as directed by the leader.

Sales Support Associate: Responsible for driving results and enhancing the customer experience by maintaining a neat, clean and safe working and shopping environment. Responsible for execution of all company-defined procedures and practices in the Sales Support Work Center including cashiering, recovery of the sales floor, fitting room and cash wrap maintenance, as well as merchandise presentation standards throughout the store. Will flex and contribute to any Work Center as directed by the leader.

Non-Sell Associate: Responsible for execution of all company standards in the Non-Sell Work Center including shipment processing and receiving, LRT replenishment, itemized restocking, stockroom organization and adhering to visual standards. Responsible for driving results and enhancing the customer experience by ensuring all styles and sizes are represented on the floor. Will flex and contribute to any Work Center as directed by the leader.

Cashier Lead: Assists store leadership in cashwrap operations to ensure maximum accuracy and compliance with company procedures. Creates a positive customer experience. Supervises other cashiers and provides feedback to the leadership team regarding staff performance.

THE ROLE:  The Customer Experience Lead's primary responsibility is to assist the leadership team in overseeing the sales floor and ensuring a positive customer experience. The CE Lead will assist in aspects of store operations focusing primarily on the areas of customer engagement including the sales floor, fitting room and cash wrap.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
Sales Generation:
  • Performs Leader on Duty responsibilities as needed.
  • Stays current on goals and priorities as it relates to the selling floor.
  • Offers suggestions to the leadership team about how to improve daily sales trends.
Customer Experience:
  • Sets the example by role modeling great customer service and introducing Piperlime.com to new customers.
  • Ensures that associates are upholding service standards.
  • Handles complex customer situations in compliance with policy and procedures; escalates issues as appropriate.
Staff Supervision:
  • Monitors floor coverage and zoning for the day and takes action according to SPH, UPT, AT and conversion trends using hourly sales reads.
  • Monitors cash wrap to ensure customers are served in accordance with customer service policies and cashier guidelines.
  • Coordinates associate breaks, lunches and shift changes.
  • Logs time and attendance infractions (sick/late/no show); assists the LOD with on‐call shifts.
  • Performs employee personal property checks.
  • Trains, coaches and directs associates on service and how to meet productivity standards.
  • Communicates development feedback of others to the leadership team.
Operations:
  • Upholds all company policies as outlined in the Policy and Procedure Manual, including the Field Employee Policy Guide and Code of Business Conduct.
  • Enforces all Loss Prevention policies, and communicates violations to the leadership team or the Code of Business Conduct Hotline.
  • Responsible for front‐of‐house receiving and assisting vendors.
  • Ensures company standards of neat, clean and organized sales floor, cash wrap and fitting room areas are met.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to General Manager and Assistant Managers. Collaborates effectively across teams, Business Partners and departments as needed. 

Qualifications

 
Knowledge, skills & abilities:
  • Excellent selling skills.

Minimum educational level:
  • High School graduate or equivalent.

  • Ability to safely lift and carry 30 lbs.
  • Ability to maneuver around the sales floor and stockroom.

  • Works with MP Leaders to prioritize and delegate styling workload as necessary.
  • Maintains brand standards and integrity in all areas of visual display.
  • Implements all in store visual display presentations as per current seasonal direction.
  • Ensure window presentation is consistent with current seasonal direction.
  • Ensures current marketing image and signage direction are implemented correctly.
  • Coordinate placement, storage and disposal of all props, display elements and fixtures.
  • Ensures the cleanliness of store fixtures, props, mannequins and display.
  • Organizes and maintains visual and mannequin storage areas.
  • Merchandising and Product styling experience preferred.
 

Qualifications

 
  • Ability to receive feedback and take action when appropriate.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instruction and meet deadlines on tasks/projects.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong customer-focused service on and off the salesfloor.
