Sales Associates are key to our success. They are the ones responsible for providing a unique experience to each of our customers. Sales Associates who are successful in our stores are friendly and outgoing in an environment that believes in delighting our customers at all times.

Duties and responsibilities:

While following all store Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), and company policies, sales associates shall perform the following duties and responsibilities:


Customer Service:
Provide courteous and prompt service
Welcome customers as they enter and thank them as they leave
Assist customers in locating what they're looking for
Provide excellent after-sales service
Smile
Sales:
Be informed of the products' specifications and information
Identifying customer needs and directing them to an appropriate product
Operating the POS system to complete transactions
Processing various payment types
Inventory management:
Assist maintaining the store inventory
Arranging inventory on the store floor
Tagging merchandise
Setting up promotional material and displays
Replenishing inventory
Reorganizing items
Maintaining a neat and tidy store
Other duties:
Opening or closing the store
Basic housecleaning
Answer phone calls
Security and loss prevention
Attend staff meetings
Other responsibilities will be assigned from time to time.

As a member of the staff, the Stock Associate is responsible for meeting all expectations for the position and help maintain and establish control-related standards and procedures as relates to the business.

Qualifications

 Education/Experience:
Years of Related Professional Experience: 1-3 months.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or one to three months related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Special Requirements:
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.

Key Responsibilities

 1. Achieve sales goals as supplied by management. Maximize sales through assisting customers in the selection and purchase of merchandise. 2. Process incoming shipments. Check in, audit and sensor merchandise per policy. Ensure all shipment paperwork is filed correctly. 3. Ensure all items are well stocked and represented on the selling floor. 4. Prepare out-going transfer items at the end of the season. 5. Develop a high level of product knowledge of all categories of merchandise by attending staff meetings and vendor presentations. Complete all seasonal training quizzes. 6. Maintain awareness of any shrinkage situations and notifies store management of each situation. 7. Ensure all merchandise is sensored prior to going to the selling floor according to sensoring guidelines. 8. Ensure all in-bound and out-bound merchandise is accurate, report any discrepancies to the stock supervisor and inventory control. 9. Provide exceptional customer service. Maintain a customer clientele book to establish a relationship and follow up process with customers. 10. Accomplish tasks assigned by the store management

Responsibilities of Sales Associate:

  • Uphold and adhere to all policies and procedures including but not limited to; code of conduct, time and attendance and loss prevention.
  • Maintain sales floor presentation, including replenishment, folding, steaming and sizing of product.
  • Assist in the execution of merchandise presentation and visual direction. Participate in merchandise rollouts and windows scheme installations.

Qualifications:
  • High School Graduate, or equivalent work experience
  • More than six months of relevant work experience
  • Ability to drive sales and achieve financial goals
  • Understanding of the Ben Sherman aesthetic and a strong fashion sense
  • Excellent communication, time management, team work and presentation skills
  • Ability to work varied hours and days including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

    POSITION
    OVERVIEW
    The Visitor Center Associate will be responsible for assisting the Visitor
    Center Assistant Manager and the Visitor Center Supervisor(s) with the daily
    operations of the 9/11 Memorial Visitor Center including: customer service and
    sales; the receiving, unpacking and stocking of merchandise; maintenance and
    restocking of displays; answering visitor questions specific to products and
    exhibitions, and questions regarding visiting the 9/11 Memorial; conducting the
    visitor survey program; assisting with physical inventory counts, and
    facilitating special events. This position will report to the Visitor Center Assistant Manager.

    ESSENTIAL
    FUNCTIONS
    • Ensures that the Visitor Center provides an enriching and excellent
      visitor experience
    • Accurately operates the computerized POS system
    • Accurately handles payment management including cash, credit cards,
      and traveler’s checks
    • Provides excellent customer service to guests, maintaining current
      knowledge of products and exhibitions
    • Provides information to visitors about visiting the 9/11 Memorial
    • Assists with receiving, unpacking,
      counting and shelving of all incoming merchandise

    • Restocks store inventory and maintains appearance
      of displays and organization of merchandise and brochure racks

    • Accurately performs physical inventory counts
      throughout the year

    • Conducts visitor surveys

    • Assists with pickups
      and/or drop offs at UPS and US Post Office

    • Assists with transporting
      of merchandise between Visitor Center and the Preview Site

    • Works at the Preview Site
      as needed

    • Breaks down and bundles

    QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
    REQUIREMENTS

    • Must have a Bachelor’s degree
      and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in retail store sales or HS
      diploma/GED and minimum of 3 years’ experience in retail store sales

    • Must have excellent customer service skills

    • Visual display skills a plus

    • Must have excellent cash handling skills

    • Must be a highly responsible, reliable and
      accurate individual

    • Must take initiative

    • Must work well independently and as a part of a
      team.

    • Must have excellent computer skills

    • Must be familiar with POS systems

    • Must be able to work weekends (both Saturday and
