The Brief:
We like to party, but we need your help getting ready! Design something amazing for our Urban Outfitter girl to wear to a party this winter. Five winning designers will receive an incredible prize package and have their pieces sold at select Urban Outfitters stores! Can you make it?

• Design – for the Urban Outfitters Customer (female)
• Category – any piece of women’s apparel (dress, top, blouse, jacket, embellished tee etc)
• Fabrication – any (knit or woven textiles)
• Season – Winter 2013 to be in store by Novmeber 2013
• Urban Outfitters Retail Price Range $89 – $119

Technical Spec must include -

• Flat drawing Front & Back
• All dimensions
• All fabrics and trims
• Any special stitching and applications
• Pantone #s for all colors used.

Job Description

 

We're seeking out energetic, progressive people who like to work hard and have fun while doing it! An ideal back stock associate is extremely organized and capable of working by themselves for extended periods of time.  We are looking for someone who is a hard worker and will be passionate about their work and their contributions to the success of the company.  Microsoft Word and Excel skills are essential and you must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.  Previous experience in a stock position is necessary!
Description:

• Tracking of shipments
• Creating Invoices, receiving, sorting, packing and unpacking shipments
• Coordinating with Production and Operations on changes to the inventory
• Maintaining a clean and organized stockroom
• Coordinate with other Showroom Managers on the supply and allocation of inventory from New York to destination
• Ensuring the Showroom is fully stocked and organized daily
• Preparation and Execution of Monthly Product launches
• Organization of seasonal sample sales
• Includes inventory management of retail and inventory supplies (ex. Boxes/Tags/Packing Supplies)

Required Skills

• Previous experience in a stock position
• Great organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Good understanding of Microsoft Office-specifically Excel, Word and Outlook
• A strong work ethic and the ability to work with a team
• The availability to work Part Time
• A good attitude, a strong work ethic and the ability to work with a team
• Applicants must have the adaptability to work in a high-pressure environment where efficiency, punctuality and flexibility are crucial
