The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for
providing professional and unsurpassed customer service to each of our
David’s Bridal customers. The CSR provides information about David’s
Bridal products and services and responds to all customer inquiries. A
CSR demonstrates our culture of trust, fairness, integrity, and
accountability in accordance with David’s Bridal’s Core Values.
Our most successful CSR’s are highly organized professionals with
upbeat, outgoing personalities and excellent communication skills.
Experience in a high volume, fast paced customer service setting is
preferred; sales background is a plus. If you would like to work in an
environment that is fast paced and where you have the ability to provide
a high level of service, we would love to talk to you.
Required Experience: 1-2 yrs prior in retail or customer service
CSR Job Responsibilities
• Greet each customer that enters the store with courtesy and professionalism
• Register brides, bridesmaids, and special occasion customers
• Inform customers of policies
• Inform customer of David's Bridal vendor and company benefits
• Maintain register responsibilities
• Resolve customer service issues and refer any unresolved grievances to floor management
• Maintain appointments
• Assist in sales
• Answer multi-line business phone in a professional manner
• Follow up with customers on special orders and question resolution
• Flexible to work retail schedule including weekends, evenings, and Holidays
• Dexterity to perform register responsibilities
• Ability to lift up to 10lbs, bend, kneel, twist, climb, stand, and move throughout the store

ABOUT THE JOB
We’re searching for a candidate has an inherent service focus, an eye for detail and 1-2 years of relevant work experience to join our administrative department, reporting to and supporting the Office Manager.
Must be consistent in opening the office on time, welcoming all guests and employees, making them feel comfortable by asking to take their coats, answering questions, offering drinks, etc.
Answer phones with a standard greeting, directing calls to appropriate people within client teams
Receive/sort mail, publications and newspapers in a timely manner
Manages inventory of office supplies and branded products, working with Office Manager to ensure that appropriate levels are maintained
Set-up and break down client meetings, including ordering catering where appropriate, setting up AV equipment and clean up
Have a keen eye for detail, and appreciation for structure and order, while being flexible to consistently change business circumstances
Process travel, expense and time entry for senior executive staff
Strong organizational skills and an eye for detail
MS Office proficiency is a must

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Greet all Museum visitors -- welcome and acknowledge, sell tickets, answer questions, check membership status, sell memberships, announce and direct special guests.
- Greet all School visitors – welcome and acknowledge, check IDs, ensure all employees and visitors sign in and out, announce and direct special guests.
- Ensure safety of people and property by following appropriate security procedures; report unsafe or inappropriate situations, following-up as needed.
- Answer the main ICP phone lines. Provide information and respond to inquiries in pleasant and informed manner. When necessary take messages and follow through on delivering them to the appropriate party.
- Keep up to date on daily basis on all activities at ICP.
- Check on security and cleanliness in public areas. Report anything out of place to supervisor or appropriate department.
- Perform daily pre-opening check. Make sure lights are on, doors are open, and computers and audio presentations in the galleries are ready for the visitor.
- Report equipment failures to relevant department; follow through for repairs.
- Stock informational material throughout the day.
- Opening and closing of daily cash receipts.
- Must be available for evenings and weekends.
- Keep reception area tidy and properly stocked.
- Use the mailing machine.
- Accept deliveries and direct to the proper department.
- Set up large tables and chairs for lectures, receptions, etc.
- Assist at special events; cover additional hours as needed.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
- Polo shirt with ICP logo; dark slacks or appropriate length skirt; pre-approved footwear
- Must be clean and neat at all times, including well-groomed hair
- No head coverings, unless it is for religious or medical purposes

Education and Training:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Training in providing superior customer service
- Previous visitor services, retail and/or security experience required
- Experience working computerized cash register in fast-paced environment
- Polite and professional presentation, including solid communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to read people's needs during their visit
- Must be able to remain calm under pressure and during emergencies
- Familiarity with Vista, retail POS system and other basic computer functions
- Excellent follow through
- Knowledge of photography preferred
- Fluency in two or more languages preferred
