Supports the Store Management team, in the achievement of the store's goals, by providing exceptional customer service at the point of sale through the accurate and efficient ringing of sales for the Cole Haan customer.

Core Accountabilities:
· Accurately and efficiently rings sales for Cole Haan customer in accordance with established prices and markdowns, as well as, capturing client information and entering it correctly at the point of sale.

· Ensure a world class shopping experience exists through the effective execution of selling and service culture by providing exceptional customer service at point of sale, prompt and thorough follow-up with all customer requests

· Support the store management team in the achievement of all financial and operational objectives with regards to Loss Prevention standards and cash handling standards.  Maintain the appearance of the cash wrap area and selling floor according to Cole Haan standards and company directives

· Maintains visual merchandising standards consistent with company brand strategies at the cash wrap area, including adequate stock of end of sale supplies.  Partners with management team on the implementation of monthly visual directives.

· Contribute to positive employee relations through effective communication, teamwork and partnership with co-workers and the management team.


· High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
· 6 months retail cashiering experience
· Strong customer service orientation.
· Basic Computer (POS System), Math Skills and Phone Skills

NY Historical Society - PT Member Services Associates

The New-York Historical Society is seeking two part-time Membership Services Associates for its Membership/Visitor Services department. Membership Services Associates staff the Society's Membership Desk in addition to other related tasks. Candidates must be available to work some weekends and holidays.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the Membership Department in fundraising efforts through the sale of new and renewal museum memberships at the Membership Desk
Serve as the main point of contact for all current and potential members visiting the museum and foster positive member relations
Handle membership admissions/overflow of general admissions as needed
Troubleshooting membership issues
Miscellaneous administrative membership tasks
Accurate maintenance of cash drawer during their shift
Respond to overflow calls from the Society's main membership line

QUALIFICATIONS
College degree preferred
Customer service/cashier experience, preferably in a museum/arts setting
Interest in fundraising/development preferable
Basic computer skills, familiarity with databases preferable
Friendly, outgoing personality

LANGUAGE SKILLS
High level of verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to interact with customers, coworkers and vendors with an outgoing and positive attitude
The pay rate for this position is $12/hour.

  • Responsible to do client development beyond the initial transaction; utilizing phone, email and written follow-up contact
  • Maintain the housekeeping and visual standards of the store
  • Have computer skills to operate the POS register and email systems
  • Safeguard the store’s inventory by adherence to the company’s loss prevention program
  • Follow all store operational policies and procedures

  • Qualifications:
    • Prior experience in retail sales is preferred
