Position is part-time, temporary (20-24 hours a week) to start, but may lead to possible full-time opportunity.

Art Consultant Part-time Assistant

Assistant to an art consultant who provides advice on the acquisition of artwork for corporations and private collectors.  Acquires artworks through artists, galleries, and auction houses, 19th-century through contemporary.

Candidate must be highly organized, detail oriented, well-educated team player and self-starter who can work independently.

MUST HAVE at least 2 YEARS administrative experience and excellent references.

Multi-tasker, excellent verbal and communication skills, excellent computer skills.  Must be familiar with Word, Excel, Powerpoint and have experience in image editing (Photoshop), some bookkeeping (Quickbooks), and be able to organize mailings from a database.

Qualifications      
  • Must have superior customer service skills.
  • Must be energetic and hard working.
  • Must have excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Must maintain professional and courteous manner at all times.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Prior golfing experience or work in a golf-related position preferred.
  • Must enjoy working in a team environment.
  • Prior cashier experience a plus.
  • Should be familiar with Microsoft Office programs.
Primary Responsibilities
·        To create and enhance relationships between Golf Club patrons and Chelsea Piers.
·        Greet customers in a friendly, professional and helpful manner.
·        Answer and direct phone calls accordingly.
·        Book and upsell private lessons, schools and specialty clinics for 12+ golf professionals
·        Accurately and efficiently execute customer transactions, registrations and payments.
·        Communicate Golf Club information regarding promotions, lessons, events, merchandise, etc.
·        Must maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times including the wearing of assigned nametag and uniform.
·        Provide correct information to patrons regarding: directions, site information, Chelsea Piers history, etc.
·        Other business related duties deemed necessary by Supervisor.

The Part-time Sales Service Representative role designed to properly fulfill merchandising needs of the customer.  Areas of focus will include full shelf conditions, neatly merchandised displays and shelves, properly rotated stock, and accurate price tags / POS in place for all departments.  This role will be responsible for maintaining a timely and accurate call schedule.  Further, this role will be responsible for identifying and communicating individual store problems and opportunities to the appropriate Kraft personnel.  Must be available to work weekends. 

Grocery or retail experience preferred. Must be flexible, have reliable vehicle, good driving records and proof of current insurance, successful completion of drug test, and general background check.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Stocking shelves and building displays.
  • Properly rotate stock.
  • Grocery resets.
  • Ensuring Point of Sale material on shelves and displays.
  • Maintain a timely and accurate call schedule.
  • Establish and maintain a rapport with key store individuals.
  • Identify and communicate individual store problems and opportunities to the appropriate personnel.
