Step 1:  Apply online!

Go to starbucks.com/careers and apply for a retail barista position.  When it asks what location you would like to apply to, search zip code 10014 and select the store at 93 Greenwich Ave. Please be precise and specific with your actual availability to work, not merely your preference (this will be dealt with at hire).  Most of our stores open at 5a and close around 11p. Each day we will filter through all the applications and beginning the second step in the process.

Step 2:  Phone screening

A Store Manager will reach out to you to conduct a short phone screening.  This will be informal and conversational.  We will be confirming some details on the application as well as asking a few questions to get to know you and your work history a little better. 

Step 3:  Receive final interview time slot.

After the phone screening, you will be contacted via email with the address of the Open House, the time slot of your interview, and other tips and instructions for that day.  If, based on your application or phone screening, we decide to not continue the interview process, we will contact you via as email to share this as well.

Our goal for April 1st is to conduct both first interviews as well as second interviews (for those selected to move on) on the spot and make offers by the end of day on April 2nd. After you are offered the position, Starbucks will conduct a background check.  This can take up to 5 business days but often takes much less time.  Once we get the go ahead from the background check, your store manager will contact you to make arrangements for your first day!

Position mission:Support our field marketing & sales teams by assisting with field marketing/street sampling, in-store sampling, merchandising and store level sales.

Field marketing:• 'Be the brand' by constantly putting Peeled Snacks products in the hands (and mouths) of the right people.
• Sample product, while educating consumers about our products and introducing them to the great personality of our brands.
• Encourage people to your demo table to try a variety of Peeled Snacks
• Execute in store demos/samplings (includes set up, sampling and breakdown)
• Recap demos/events with photos and gather feedback to be communicated back to Marketing Managers
• Work with sales team to identify key sampling locations to drive sales and leverage retail promotions.
• Become a brand "expert" able to answer questions about the company and our snacks
• Assist in executing local community and marquee events
• Place hard/soft pos and merchandise our treasure so that everyone in the store notices.

Sales/Account maintenance:• Nurture existing accounts to create overall Peeled Snacks presence
• Establish and maintain relationships with Peeled Snacks accounts

Merchandising:• Gain incremental space by increasing availability
• Place hard/soft pos (racks & other merchandising tools)
• Reset shelves
• Maintain shelf presence by controlling inventory at store level

Qualifications:• Strong organization skills & work ethic
• Outgoing & Friendly personality
• Responsible, Dependable & Reliable
• Excellent communication skills
• Computer/internet access required, as well as bank account for direct deposit
• Desire to support a growing company in the food industry
• Ability to stand for 4 hours at a time
