e-flux is an international network and artist-run project
which reaches more than 100,000 visual arts professionals on a daily
basis through its website, e-mail list, and special projects. We are
currently looking to hire a Correspondence Associate.
Description:
The
Correspondence Associate position entails email correspondence with
thousands of institutions and galleries for all of the e-flux and
art-agenda announcements sent out on a daily basis. This position is
the first contact person for e-flux and art-agenda for all incoming
inquiries regarding e-flux projects, exhibitions, publications, etc. The
Correspondence Associate will also be called upon to assist our
designers with a high volume of copy editing, fact-checking, and basic
HTML formatting towards the production and ultimate distribution of all
e-flux and art-agenda announcements. This is a part-time position with
full-time potential after a 90-day period.
Qualifications:
The
ideal candidate will have a graduate degree in arts administration, art
history, fine art or equivalent experience in the field of contemporary
art. Familiarity with international art institutions and galleries is
essential. This person will also have strong writing skills in English,
excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work closely with a
small group of people. This person should be self-directed, and good at
practical problem solving. Proficiency with Mac operating systems, web
layout engines, HTML is a plus. Salary is commensurate with experience.
