JOB DESCRIPTION Sales Associate

Reporting to:
Store Manager
Position Overview:
The Sales Associate is the customer service specialist of the store. They are responsible to exceed customer expectations by listening to customer needs, finding products that meet their needs, providing in depth product information about the goods they are interested in and closing the sale.
Key Responsibilities:

Meet and exceed sales goals

Maintain brand and operational standards (visual, cleanliness, etc.)
􀂃
Pro-actively manage customer needs and exceed expectations by utilizing the U.N.I.Q.L.O. service standard, following the Uniqlo Fundamental Principles and saying the 6 standard phrases.

Be knowledgeable of fitting room standards and assist when needed
􀂃
Act as cashier when required by following cashier protocol
􀂃
Process shipment and ensure all merchandise is represented on the floor in full size runs
􀂃
Assist management to identify and resolve issues in the store
􀂃
Provide product and brand knowledge to customers
􀂃
Follow all company policy and procedures & notify management of any infractions
􀂃
Assist with special projects as assigned by management
Required Skills and Abilities:
􀂃
Strong communication skills
􀂃
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages
􀂃
Ability to stand for long periods of time, read computer terminals, push, pull or move objects of at least 25 pounds
􀂃
Ability to effectively maneuver around sales floor and stockroom, repetitive bending, prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, squatting, and climbing
Schedule Requirements

Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets the business needs, including evenings and weekends
Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or G.E.D., or 0-6 months retail or related experience

Contest

Fruit of the Loom is dedicated to bringing comfort to the everyday moments of life, and as part of their effort to make every day feel better, they are teaming up with EIF Revlon Run/Walk For Women to support the fight against women’s cancers.

Starting today, Fruit of the Loom and EIF Revlon Run/Walk are launching a contest, inviting consumers to submit a T-Shirt design to help support the cause. Consumers that are interested in participating can visit the EIF Run/Walk Website and/or EIF Revlon Run/Walk Facebook page for more information and to download their entry submission forms. Designs must be submitted to FruitoftheLoomDesign@revlonrunwalk.org by April 10, 2012. Judge Revlon Global Artistic Director, Gucci Westman, will select three finalists for the public to view and vote on their favorite on the EIF Revlon Run/Walk Facebook page from April 18 – April 21, 2012.

The winning design, selected by public an announced on April 24, 2012, will be printed on Fruit of the Loom Crew Neck T-shirts and given to hosts & special guests at the EIF Revlon Run/Walk events in New York City (May 5, 2012) and Los Angeles (May 12, 2012). 350 T-shirts featuring the winner’s design will be sold at the LA Expo on May 12, 2012 with all proceeds benefiting the EIF Revlon Run/Walk. And the winner will also receive a Crew Neck T-Shirt from Fruit of the Loom featuring their design.

Where: Javtis Center: 38th and 11th Avenue, New York, NY.
Why: Because we're paying you $15/hr (~$100/day) to play with magnetic wooden toys! :)

Description: Tegu is seeking two individuals per day to staff our 20-foot pinewood derby style racetrack in the lobby of the Javits Center at the NY International Toy Fair.  See attached pics.

Responsibilities:
  • Play!
  • Engage retail buyers and generate excitement around our products.  Encourage them to come try out the race track and direct people to our booth in the exhibit hall.
Requirements:
  • Outgoing, energetic, and engaging personalities.
  • Assertive, quick study.
  • Be on time.
  • Ability to communicate well be enthusiastic.  Not sales-y, authentic and human.
  • Affinity for really awesome green jumpsuits. :)
